Energy Efficiency which includes weatherization is extremely important to reducing CO2 emissions. The National Resource Defense Council in 2017 reported that their modeling shows that residential efficiency can account for as much as 550 million metric tons of CO2 equivalent emissions reduction annually by 2050. That is equal to the combined electric power emissions of California, Texas, New York, Florida, Illinois and Virginia in 2016. As a part of efficiency, weatherization provides a big impact for a smaller investment than many other CO2 emissions strategies not to mention that it reduces our energy bills and provides more comfort in our homes.
