Once again, Ruth M. is opening up her home in Thetford for our fall women’s retreat. This retreat will give us time to reflect, listen to the Spirit, and walk the labyrinth. Our retreat begins on Friday, the 8th, at 5 p.m. for those who can make it that early and may want to walk the labyrinth. Appetizers at 6 p.m., a common meal (potluck with wine), and a session together around the fireplace will round out the first evening. Those who can stay overnight are welcome to do so. On Saturday we begin with 7:30 a.m. optional stretching (yoga light), continental breakfast at 8:30, and then we will continue to conversation with small groups and as a whole. The retreat concludes with lunch.
We realize you may only be able to present for part of the retreat — that’s OK! Please let us know what portion(s) you’ll be able to join us for so that we can plan accordingly. RSVP here or sign up in the Narthex.
You supply the young artists, we’ll supply ceramic turkeys, paint, smocks, and a snack! See you Sunday!
Join us for Reformation Sunday worship at 10:30 a.m. on October 27th. Our men’s group is grilling bratwurst and will provide church-brewed reformation ale. Bring a dish to share!
We will offer a blessing to our animal companions, large and small. This half-hour service will take place on the lawn. In the event of rainy weather, we will gather inside. The gathering will last approximately 45 minutes, allowing for 15 minutes of settling-in time. Invite neighbors or friends who may also like this opportunity to have their special animal companions blessed.
A great way for us to kick off the academic year together as a church community on mission, get to know one another, and welcome new students to the area! OSLC Regulars, please bring a dish to share. Our men’s group will provide meat & drinks. Visitors & students, just bring yourself, we’d love to meet you!
