Just as our first word to those visiting at worship is a word of welcome, so we welcome you also to this page. Whether you are new to the Upper Valley, or studying, teaching, or working at Dartmouth, or perhaps even have lived here for some time, we want you to know that the community at Our Savior Lutheran Church and Campus Ministry hopes sometime to greet you in person.

We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, a Covenant Church of Bread for the World, a sponsor of the United Valley Interfaith Project, and a Reconciling in Christ congregation seeking greater inclusivity in our church for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. But these affiliations tell you only a small part of who we are.

We are a community composed of diverse individuals and families that thrive on lively worship and preaching. We also take joy in welcoming one another in hospitality and service. All in all, we seek to be a diverse and real community that has at its core a deep desire to follow Jesus in our daily lives. Mercy, service, hospitality, justice and love are important markers for us in that journey.

We are a church where we all are welcomed and loved by God. No one is excluded from God’s grace. We receive new birth in baptism, forgiveness in confession, and encounter grace and mercy in the Lord’s Supper. These practices nurture our faith. We hope this may be the kind of community you long for too.

Worship

The church is handicap accessible. Gluten-free communion is available. Large print worship materials are offered. Although infants and young children are most welcome in our worship services, our church nursery attendant is available Sundays to welcome babies and younger children into the nursery.

SUNDAYS AT OSLC

9:15 a.m., Book Discussion, Choir Practice
10:30 a.m., Worship with Holy Communion
11:30 a.m. Hospitality Hour - Lutheran World Relief Coffee and Good Conversation

Sunday Morning Book Discussion

We gather to have meaningful conversation about living today, stimulated by what we read together. Our book discussion group, which meets Sundays at 9:15 a.m., resumes April 8th. Over several weeks, we will be discussing the book Tears We Cannot Stop: A Sermon to White America.

PREPARING FOR WORSHIP

Third Sunday of Easter, April 15, 10:30 a.m.: The gospel for the third Sunday of Easter is always one in which the risen Christ shares food with the disciples, meals that are the Easter template for the meal we share each Lord’s day. In Sunday’s gospel, Jesus both shares the disciples’ food and shows them the meaning of his suffering, death, and resurrection through the scriptures: the two main elements of our Sunday worship.  Sunday’s reading and Psalm are:
Acts Acts 3:12-19
Psalm 4
1 John 3:1-7
Luke 24:36b-48
