+ + +

Just as our first word to those visiting at worship is a word of welcome, so we welcome you also to this page. Whether you are new to the Upper Valley, or studying, teaching, or working at Dartmouth, or perhaps even have lived here for some time, we want you to know that the community at Our Savior Lutheran Church and Campus Ministry hopes sometime to greet you in person.

We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and a Reconciling in Christ congregation seeking greater inclusivity in our church for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities for the sake of the Gospel. But these affiliations tell you only a small part of who we are. We are a community composed of diverse individuals and families that thrive on lively worship and preaching. We also take joy in welcoming one another in hospitality and service. All in all, we seek to be a diverse and real community that has at its core a deep desire to follow Jesus in our daily lives. Mercy, service, hospitality, justice and love are important markers for us in that journey.

We are a church where we all are welcomed and loved by God. No one is excluded from God’s grace. We receive new birth in baptism, forgiveness in confession, and encounter grace and mercy in the Lord’s Supper. These practices nurture our faith. We hope this may be the kind of community you long for too.

PREPARING FOR WORSHIP

JOIN US ON A JOURNEY OF (RE)ORDERING THIS LENT: We invite you to join us on a Lenten journey designed to help us (re)order our priorities and perspectives. Come and discover a new way of seeing the world and our place within it as we reflect and grow in faith together throughout this sacred season.

Wednesdays in Lent: Lenten Evening Prayer at 7:00 p.m., March 4, 11, 18, & 25: Before our Lenten Evening Prayer, we'll gather for a shared meal of soup, salad and bread at 6:00 p.m.

March 8, 2026, 10:30 a.m., Third Sunday in Lent: In Sunday’s gospel the Samaritan woman asks Jesus for water, an image of our thirst for God. Jesus offers living water, a sign of God’s grace flowing from the waters of baptism. The early church used this gospel and those of the next two Sundays to deepen baptismal reflection during the final days of preparation before baptism at Easter. As we journey to the resurrection feast, Christ comes among us in word, bath, and meal—offering us the life-giving water of God’s mercy and forgiveness.
