People who will greet you and help you find what you need.

A bright welcoming space.

A “Safe Church” culture, taking care that children and others are not vulnerable to verbal, physical, or sexual abuse.

A place where it is also safe to be who you are, where you can share your joys and sorrows, hopes and disappointments.

A clean nursery staffed by a warm and caring childcare professional.

Handicap accessibility, including accessible restrooms.

Lively music in a liturgical setting.

Word and Sacrament ministry. Sermons based in scripture, weekly Eucharist at which Christ (not OSLC) is the host, reminders of promises made at Baptism, being sent out to care for our neighbor.

A “Message for All of God’s Children” (children’s sermon).

A chance to meet and deepen connections with people at the Fellowship Hour following worship (we’re Lutheran so there’s good Fair Trade coffee and often wonderful homemade treats) and further opportunities for connecting throughout the week.

Linking faith and action. When we follow Jesus, we should not be surprised that he leads us out into the world to seek justice and to live out the love of God in challenging situations. This we do individually and along with others.
