Dear Friends,
It has been a very long time since I’ve spoken or seen some of you. I hope you are well and staying home, staying safe, and staying healthy in these trying times in our country. I have asked our friend, Marci Sharp, for help in getting addresses for this message to you. Please forward this along to anyone we may have missed.
I got a Facebook message from Katie Gehner today informing me that our longtime friend, Stephanie Sherry, died at Yale New Haven Hospital last Tuesday, March 24.
I am not sure if you are aware but Stephanie assumed the presidency of New England Women of the ELCA last fall after Ade Monareh completed her seven year term as a SWO Board member. Stephanie has been a good and faithful servant for many years.
Stephanie’s Mom, Dorothy Scholz, has lived with Stephanie and Bill for a while now so I am sure she is devastated as well. Please keep her in your prayers as well.

PS: Obviously with the Corona Virus and Social Distancing here in CT, no funerals are being held. If I hear about future arrangements I will let you know. Liz Burgess is putting this info on the New England Women of the ELCA Facebook page but I thought this might be a little gentler way for you to hear.
